The Goals:

The International Bone Marrow Transplant Registry (IBMTR) was started 25 years ago by Dr. Moritmer Bortin to collect outcome data on patients receiving allogeneic bone marrow transplants. Data sent to the IBMTR comes from over 300 institutions throughout the world. The diseases and issues currently being studied by the IBMTR and ABMTR are: acute and chronic leukemias, Hodgkin and non-Hodgkin lymphoma, multiple myeloma, breast cancer, T-cell depletion, and cytokines. The IBMTR/ABMTR maintains a research staff of three physicians and seven biostatisticians working under the direction of Dr. Mary H. Horowitz and Dr. John P. Klein.
