    NHLBI: MCW Proteomics Center (Proteomics)

Grant:

Funded by the National Heart Lung and Blood Institute.

Project manager:

, Ph.D. Tel: 414-456-8802.

The Goals:

The Proteomics Center will develop mass spectrometric methodologies and technology for the quantitative analysis of the entire proteome of a single cell. The goal is to dramatically increase the sensitivity, resolution and mass range of the analysis process and develop approaches for the processing of single cells into a form suitable for mass spectrometric analysis of their components. The bioinformatics component concentrates on data management and warehousing and novel data analysis and data mining algorithms.

Collaboration:

  • Andrew Greene, Ph.D., Dept. of Physiology, MCW
  • Michael Olivier, Ph.D., Human Molecular Genetics Center, MCW
  • Walid Qoronfleh, Perbio Sciences
  • Stanley Hefta, Bristol Myers Squibb
